I’m drawn to paint landscapes because of my memories and the ideas they trigger.  And yet, many people in the future will not experience landscapes like I was fortunate to do as a child. Growth of very large cities is accelerating. National Geographic, 2018, states “Roughly two-thirds of people will live in cities by 2050.There are 31 cities that are now considered megacities, with 10 million people or more; by 2030 there will be 41 of that size. “
