This image was inspired by my October, 2018 art residency at Vermont Studio Center. This black cat ruled the property. His name is Houdini. We met daily during our walks across the campus. Being at Vermont Studio Center was one of the best art experiences yet. I returned for another art residency after the pandemic in March, 2023.
