Verdant

This is the abstract and expressionistic direction I would like my painting to go in during 2026 and beyond. To start, I disrupt the picture plane with bold black marks, then paint the mood and space of a verdant botanical scene. The gestures and colors suggest the flora of our New England region both symbolically and metaphorically.
